Fatma Altınbaş, a third generation member of an elite jeweler family from Istanbul, inherited her family’s love and admiration for precious stones and the craftsmanship that turns these stones into priceless works of art. Altınbaş founded MEVÁRIS, a fine jewelery brand whose name means “heritage” in Ottoman Turkish. With this brand and its original collections, Altınbaş aims to reinterpret the traditional heritage of the Grand Bazaar in a modern way and to bring the handmade jewelery of the masters together on the world platform. Altınbaş sees jewelery not just as an ornament, but as a legacy that can be passed on from grandmother to grandchildren for generations, as it is such a big part of her heritage.
